Admission
Admission is based on a first come/first served basis. When a child is next on the Wait List and a space becomes available, the parent/guardian will be notified by the Supervisor. At that time a meeting will be arranged between the parents/guardians and the Supervisor to finalize details, complete forms and to arrange payment. Siblings of a child already in the Centre have priority.
Preschool Gradual Admission
Parents/guardians of Preschool children are encouraged to allow their child(ren) gradual admission. This is to provide some time for adjustment before the child(ren) experiences a full day without his/her parents/guardians. A parent/guardian, relative or baby sitter may carry out the gradual admission, as long as the child is comfortable and familiar with the person. The gradual admission usually occurs a week or two prior to full time enrollment.
Application for the Wait List
Prior to completing an application for the Wait List, parents/guardians are encouraged to visit the Centre with their child(ren). This is an opportunity for the parent(s) and child(ren) to meet the staff and children in the group and to see our approach to Early Childhood Education and care. We suggest parents/guardians complete the application as soon as possible to increase the chance of obtaining a space.
